RAY MEARS BUSHCRAFT KNIFE – DESCRIPTION

Your Bushcraft knife has gained a huge following, not only because it is the favoured knife of the world-famous survival and bushcraft expert Ray Mears, but mainly because it is an excellent cutting tool.

Your Ray Mears Bushcraft knife has Iroko Handle Slabs.  This is a tropical hardwood, approx 300 years old.  It has been hand-made and hand-finished by a craftsman.

It sharpens very well using water stones, it is extremely strong with a full-length tang, and is a good length for bushcraft wood carving.  It splits wood easily when used with a batten.

It has good handle symmetry, feels comfortable in the hand, and will not rub or chafe your skin, even after extended use.

The blade is made of 01 high carbon tool steel, which is resilient, very tough, and – unlike other steels used in cheaper knives - easy to sharpen outdoors.  Crucially for bushcraft use, the blade has good hardness, good toughness, and robust wear resistance.

This knife is absolutely ‘Brand New’.  It has not been sharpened since it was made.  It is in its original Woodlore Presentation Box, which is also in ‘as new’ condition.
